Denon Dn S3700 Lights In Hybrid Got Them To Work Software To AllowHowever it was supposed to come with some Music Manager software to allow me to transfer MP3s to it, although the installer disk was missing.Ive tried contacting Denons customer support but after a week of phoning and emailing with no response Ive practically given up. I wondered if anyone had this software and would kindly be able to zip the installer and email it to me Or does anyone know of anywhere I might be able to download it Any help most appreciated. Things is Ive looked at the directory of this HDD and it appears that the software is needed to create a database first, so not sure if this will work Worth a go though. The thing is once you have connected the Denon to the PC it is how the PC sees the Denon, it will be either a media device, therefore use WMP 11 or as a hard drive then use Win Explorer and copy and paste your albums over, but it is best to keep a directory stucture. Only ever used a Mac for the past 12 years But I did connect it to a Windows XP PC and it came up as a Hard Disk, I think. Im not sure what Win Explorer is, but youre saying that because it pops up as a Hard Disk, I should be able to just copy the folders and stuff over to it. Would I need to download Win Exploerer or is it something built into Windows. Right mouse click any artist you want and select copy, then you could open another explorer page and keep your Hard drive Denon open, then just right click in the Denon hard drive and select paste. Your earlier post: stated, I think, that you were already using the music manager software and yet now you say you havent received the installer CD with you unit (By the way Denon support are bdy useless so you can forget that avenue) Any how if you private message me with your email address I can email you the installer as you requested - if indeed that is what you dont already have. Hope something there helps you Cheers, Eddy Ps- you could always quiz the retailer who sold you the unit in the first place as they are always the first port of call with a support issue - they may be able to give you an installer disk. Im in the same situation, having lost the original installer disc, and having recently formatted my PC, i want to reinstall the software so i can stream music from my PC through the Denon (which was its best feature i think). ![]() As some posters suggested before, I tried to connect to the device using Windows explorer of media player. Windows explorer does show the device as a normal USB harddisk, which has three hidden folders on it. These seem to contain playlists (it shows a lot of them, I wonder how they did get there because I never created them) and theres a folder which contains the actual music files. However, Denon prefers to use some obscure system of unrecognizable file and folder names, so its definitely impossible to work with the PC connection without the Denon Music Manager software. I already searched for any download, but for some reason, all official Denon sites are useless; the only downloadable thing I could find is the Denon DJ Music Manager, which I installed to see what it does, but which does not seem to work with the CHR-F103 unit. ![]()
